Wes "Maestro" Williams is Canada's best selling hip-hop artist, releasing his first album in 1989. He is the winner of two Junos, four Much Music awards, two People's Choice awards, and was the first Canadian rap artist to go Gold (album and single) and Platinum (album). His signature single 'Let Your Backbone Slide' remains the only Canadian hip- hop single to go Gold. In recent years "Maestro" has added film and television acting to his resume - feature film credits include 'Honey', 'Paid in Full', 'Conviction' and 'Bugs'. Guest starring television appearances include 'Soul Food', 'Drop the Beat', 'Platinum', 'Redemption', 'Blue Murder', 'Jake 2.0', 'Metropia' and the featured role of Danius on the series 'Instant Star'.
