Actor Bio
Tom Butler, the son of Mrs. Joan Butler, was born and raised in Centretown, Ottawa. He is one of eight children. He took theatre arts in high school as a "mickey mouse" course and to meet girls. It sort of worked. One thing led to another and he was accepted at The National Theatre School of Canada in Montreal. He graduated in 1974 and moved to Toronto where he slowly but steadily forged a career. His work was mostly in small theatres doing original Canadian projects. Some of his early television credits were shows like 'King of Kensington' and 'The Littlest Hobo'. He moved to Vancouver in 1991 where he has had steady employment in the local film & television business. His first professional theatre work in his hometown of Ottawa was George F. Walkers 'Better Living'. He is extremely proud and thrilled to be working with Mr. Walker on 'The Line'.
