Actor Bio
Well known on stages across the country, Oliver Becker recently appeared in the George F. Walker double-bill 'Better Living' and 'Escape from Happiness' at Toronto's Factory Theatre. Other recent credits include the Canadian premiere of 'The Pillowman' and 'Frozen' for Citadel Theatre and 'A Whistle in the Dark' for Company Theatre in Toronto. Oliver appears as a series regular in 'The Line' for TMN and 'Rent-a-Goalie' for Showcase. Other recent television work includes 'Angela's Eyes' (Lifetime), 'Queer As Folk', 'Street Time', 'Odyssey 5' (Showtime), 'Salem Witch Trials' (CBS) and 'Chasing Cain' (CBC). He has appeared in 'Hamlet', 'The Bear' and 'La Ronde' for The Soulpepper Theatre Company, 'Sideman' and 'Soldier's Heart' at The Tarragon Theatre, 'Cherry Docs' and 'Macbeth' at The Grand Theatre, 'The Diary of Anne Frank' at Manitoba Theatre Centre, 'The Cripple of Inishmaan' at Centaur Theatre, 'The Weir' and 'The Beauty Queen of Leenane' at Canstage, 'The Glace Bay Miner's Museum' at Factory Theatre and 'Playboy of the Western World' at The Shaw Festival. Oliver returns to Canstage with Birdland Theatre's production of 'The Pillowman' this summer and following will star in the premiere of 'Wild Mouth' at The Tarragon Theatre.
